Virtual concert on Wednesday January 27th 2021 with Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne

Our series of virtual concerts resumes on Wednesday January 27th 2021, with guest, Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne. The concert will start at 7pm (an hour earlier than usual) with a song or two from Ryburn Folk Club regulars followed by Cohen from 7:30pm for about an hour. After a short interval, the session becomes more informal and you will have the opportunity to ask Cohen questions and hopefully he will sing and play some more until about 9pm.

Cohen, (as it happens) has just released his second solo CD called Rakes and Misfits, which you can buy from the Granny’s Attic web site click here and from Bandcamp click here, where you can also browse and buy concertina merchandise.

Ryburn 3 Step Concerts are free to attend but we encourage audiences to buy CDs and donate generously to the artist, which can easily done by Paypal.

To reserve a “screen” for what is going to be a cracking evening’s entertainment, please send an email to this email address ( or contact Sue Coe on 01422 822569. The Zoom joining instructions will be sent to you a day or two before the concert.

Check out some of the videos on his web site and Youtube and it becomes obvious why Cohen’s appearance at the Ryburn Folk Club in June 2019 was a sell-out. Dazzling musicianship on concertina and melodeon, commanding vocals and a great selection of songs. Cohen even has advice on how to beat the lock down blues, click here.
