Ripponden Village Dance with Granny’s Attic and Barry Goodman
December 8 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
We’re bringing a fabulous Barn Dance experience to Ripponden Village on Saturday 8 December, when Granny’s Attic will be playing for you to dance to. The caller will be Barry Goodman and together we’re going to have a great night.
Granny’s Attic – Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne (Melodeon, Concertina), George Sansome (Guitar) and Lewis Wood (Fiddle, Mandolin) – are becoming well known for their performances in Folk Clubs and at Festivals up and down the country, where they have been heralded for their lively performances and maturity. They also play for dances and ceilidhs, and we’re delighted that they are going to play for us on 8th December.
Barry Goodman is a singer, musician, songwriter, caller and folk arts educator. Based in Hertfordshire, Barry has worked at most of the major folk festivals in the country and has performed, together with Graeme Meek, at folk clubs, concerts, arts festivals, village halls, churches, and even on a boat, with the Life and Times show, “Where the Working Boats Went”. He’s a great caller and we’re expecting a lively night with this exciting music and dance combination.
